Pangu Demonstrates Jailbreak iOS 8.3 Solution at MOSEC, Release After iOS 8.4? - Yesterday, just days before Apple’s World Wide Developers Conference on Monday, Pangu allegedly demonstrated an iOS 8.3 Untethered jailbreak at a security venue! During the aforementioned Apple-hosted conference, the company will unveil not only iOS 9, but also the next installment to OS X, being OS 10.11. However, for some, WWDC may be overshadowed by the jailbreak 8.3 presentation Pangu put on during MOSEC 2015, short for Mobile Security Conference. With Pangu having been all but forgotten by jailbreakers who maintain a short-term mentality when it comes to jailbreak utilities, Pangu is undoubtedly one of the greats. They were not only the first group to jailbreak iOS 8 through 8.1, but prior to that, they rushed to jailbreaker’s rescue last June to issue an iOS 7.1.x jailbreak when we were least expecting it. Is it possible that Pangu may once again save avid jailbreakers from the boredom that is vanilla iOS by delivering a solution to jailbreak all iOS 8 firmwares since Apple’s patch of the last TaiG untethered utility, being iOS 8.1.3, 8.2, 8.3 and even iOS 8.4? iOS 8.3 Jailbreak Demonstrated - iOS 8.4 Jailbreak Release?
Starting with Pangu, who not only helped to organize, but also presented at MOSEC 2015, several reports from Chinese blogs suggest that the group demonstrated a jailbreak for iOS 8.3 at the end of their presentation.
However, beyond that, reports circulating throughout the jailbreak blogosphere seem to diverge, some suggesting that Pangu could release a jailbreak as early as Monday following Apple’s WWDC.
Monday Jailbreak 8.3 And iOS 8.4 Release Date?
So, what can we expect, will Pangu jailbreak iOS 8.3 and iOS 8.4 ensuing the event? Unfortunately, initial coverage on the latest development at MOSEC misinterpreted one post that seemed to indicate the possibility of the release of a new jailbreak, which was loosely translated and therefore convoluted, and ran with it.
Looking at Daniel_K4’s Weibo (a member of Pangu’s social networking account on a popular Chinese microblogging site), the hacker said the following (via Google translate).

In other words, Pangu didn’t specify any sort of release, though their decision will ultimately become clear once iOS 8.4 is made available. One way or another, we’ll know whether the group will exercise their prerogative to either issue a jailbreak 8.4 and utility that’s also capable of jailbreaking 8.3 or wait for iOS 9.
Any reports suggesting that a jailbreak will be released immediately following 8.4’s public availability are based purely on the speculation of a misinterpreted Chinese blog, not information directly from Pangu. In alignment with other teams and jailbreak groups throughout the years, Pangu is remaining as silent as possible to avoid feeding the toxic attitudes that could likely come forth from an announcement that indicates the timeframe of the next jailbreak’s release.
TaiG Jailbreak Pre iOS 9
As for TaiG, in a recent interview, the group’s “Team Leader” (Ray) allegedly confirmed that they have no plans of releasing a jailbreak prior to iOS 9 at this point in time, though their decision isn’t set in stone and is subject to change based on a number of factors. As of now though, our best hope of a pre iOS 9 jailbreak for 8.3 and 8.4 appears to be Pangu.
Remember, last year the group entered the world of jailbreaking when the community least expected a new utility and the same could happen this year for iOS 8.3. Remain hopeful, jailbreakers.

I’m one of those who are interested in the commentaries. There is a lot of relevant and important info to be known regarding the current status of jailbreaking. If it wasn’t for reliable sources such as this, you would be more likely filling your iDevice and computer alike with nasty viruses all because you didn’t know that there isn’t actually a jailbreak yet for (insert relevant iOS version here). Don’t take the news videos for granted, they do much more good than you realize!

I just read that Apple might be postponeding the release of iOS 8.4 till at least the end of the month, and because of the Apple Watch I had to give up on my jailbreak and upgrade to iOS 8.3, any way what I’m trying to say is that I don’t mind waiting a few more weeks and get the jailbreak for iOS 8.4 because 8.3 is full of bugs which Apple for sure will fix many of them but will also block the jailbreak if they release it a few weeks earlier.
