New Pangu Jailbreak iOS 8.3 Exploits, Jailbreak Development - Although the public awaits a new solution to jailbreak iOS 8.3, the latest public firmware as of this past Wednesday’s release, we have a ray of sunshine in an otherwise murky and uncertain time. In spite of the fact that a new jailbreak for 8.3 and iOS 8.2 is indeed in the works by TaiG, we have absolutely no official ETA, or even a timeframe for that matter. However, that being said, we mustn’t forget those who preceded TaiG - we have confirmation that Pangu may in fact be developing a similar iOS 8.3 jailbreak solution. Apple has undoubtedly picked up the company’s pace in mobile software development for iOS 8, succeeding the entire range of iOS 7 releases merely halfway through iOS 8’s lifecycle, and the same can also be said for jailbreak development, though not nearly as fast. In the past ~365 days, we’ve received more untethered jailbreak utilities and updates for said utilities and than for all of iOS 5, iOS 6 and iOS 7. Now, in spite of the fact that there hasn’t been a new jailbreak since iOS 8.1.3 patched TaiG’s latest public tool, we have confirmation that Pangu will begin dabbling in the creation of a brand new utility as they move past drama with former jailbreak contributor i0n1c (Stefan Esser). For more on the next iOS 8.3 and iOS 8.2 jailbreak, including Pangu’s involvement, continue reading past the break.
Prior to delving into Pangu’s latest endeavor, it’s important to have a basic concept of the aforementioned drama the group is involved in where i0n1c is concerned. We’ll need to rewind to last June when Pangu made their grand entrance into the world of jailbreaking with the release of their first utility to jailbreak iOS 7.1.2.
The team’s original Pangu 7.1.2 jailbreak was a smash success in jailbreakers’ eyes the world over, save one’s: Stefan Esser (i0n1c). While the hacker previously contributed to the jailbreak community in a rather substantive way back in the days of iOS 4, since then Esser has mostly stuck to iOS security research training seminars, at least where hacking iOS is concerned.
Without getting too technical and overly verbose, in their first few iterations of the original Pangu jailbreak, the group made use of a technique i0n1c demonstrated that hadn’t been used in a previous jailbreak. Assuming that the method was up for grabs, as i0n1c neither required non-disclosure agreements for the seminar Pangu members attended nor explicitly stated that said technique was off limits for students of the seminar, Pangu opted to use the exploitation technique.
Since then, it’s been a bloodbath between Pangu and Esser, with the majority of the anger originating on Esser’s end; Pangu not only stopped using what Esser considered to be his intellectual property, but also proposed numerous solutions to rectify their “mistake” (Pangu’s words), including monetary compensation.
The above video from iCrackUriDevice is a great re-cap of the current jailbreak 8.3 situation beyond the information in today’s article.
Avoiding reason, Esser has never let the feud briefly described above go. While there’s much more to it than that, we won’t bore you with the details other than to say this: the dispute has taken up a sizable portion of Pangu’s time, efforts and available energy that would otherwise be allocated to creating a new post iOS 8.2 jailbreak for 8.3.
Thankfully though, Pangu has opted to move past it and hinted in the final sentence of their latest site entry that the group will begin testing their new vulnerabilities on iOS 8.3 by saying the following:
Almost forgot to mention that we also wasted many hours, the same as Stefan, on writing the blog. Because of this, we even haven’t got time to test our exploits on iOS 8.3.
Concluding this quick update, we’re happy to inform our readers that in addition to TaiG, we have now have Pangu on the case of creating the next jailbreak; we certainly have exciting times ahead of us, especially with the forthcoming Apple Watch and the possibilities it opens to the world of jailbreaking.

I have subscribed to updates, so I will expecting updates when it has been jail broken.
When will the jailbreak be out
Thanks for keeping us updated! Cant wait to see what the ios 8.3 Jailbreak has to offer!, and when it will be released! It is very fun to look at the war between TaiG and Pangu on their twitter. Although, TaiG does have a ios 8.2 BETA Jailbreak, it is nothing like the official release. But that shows us that TaiG is actualy getting their act together and doing something. I just updated my jailbroken phone yesterday due to a bug since apple wont let you restore your phone without updating it anymore. But anyway, I cant wait to see who will get the first working jailbreak!
im tired hearing all new update things…..ive been waiting the JB since i upgraded to ios 8.13 and no JB since….so just to the point stright answer..is there gonna be a JB for ios 8.2 or 8.3?? or apple paid you up so no JB just keep wasting time updating news this and that.ty
He updates the news. It’s out or not, not one knows. Only the JB group can answer your question.
Okay I read can you guys update me when it comes out?
Do you have an estimate on the amount of time until it comes out? I understand it is very hard to JB, but I would like know atleast an estimate. Thanks!

What about this JB? http://www.theiosjailbreak.com ?

It has a survey, so i didnt do it.
anyone test it ?
Can this tool jailbreaks also ios 8.1.3?
I cannot believe I’m hearing/reading that there might now be an ios 8.2 jb, I upgraded to 8.3 a day after it was released as all the jb experts like pangu and taiG were saying there would never be an 8.2 jb. Can I downgrade to 8.2?
Are you kidding me right now? Did you even read? “Almost forgot to mention that we also wasted many hours, the same as Stefan, on writing the blog. Because of this, we even haven’t got time to test our exploits on iOS 8.3.” That is literally what is quoted in the article. Where in it does it say they were testing for 8.2? And why in god’s name would they make a bloody 8.2 jb when 8.3 is already released. It’s almost ridiculous how little people actually read.
If there is a useful exploit in 8.2 that was patched in 8.3, then, may as well release an 8.2 jailbreak
Yes, 8.2 is still being signed
Yea but there is so many people already updated to 8.3 I’m sure they are obviously going to jailbreak 8.3/8.4 or everyone wouldn’t have said “update for iOS 8.2”.
????? ?? ? ? ???….. ??? ??? ???? ?? ???….. ?? ??? ???? ??? ??? ??? ???…..
I have. IOS 8.2. Should i update to 8.3 if i want to jailbreak?
Well, either Pangu or TaiG are obviously trying to jb 8.3, so do it if you want. It wouldn’t make sense for them to make a jailbreak for 8.2 since 8.3 has already been released. However, if you want to be really safe. Don’t. There isn’t much new stuff, and it doesn’t hurt to be safe.
you should wait a little before cuz maybe an ios 8.2 will come earlier
no it won’t iOS 8.3/ and maybe 8.4 I’m not sure yet, or their main focus!!!! You can update.
good luck pangu you are the best
so who is Esser anyway, doesnt seem like he has done much
Can’t wait #pangu

We’re a news site, we’ll never stop talking. You could stop hating and exercise patience though, developers create jailbreaks for FREE! Anyway, have a nice weekend.
KILL YOURSELF
You, sir, are an idiot.
popcorn installs without jailbreak soo there is a mayor leap..
No, it’s not at all… It uses a developer enterprise cert. With a little work, anyone with an LLC can get a Dev Enterprise account from Apple.

Xavier Phillips It’s about time, right? Thanks for reading!
Ryc Sykes Paramore Smh… ????
does jailbreaking unlocks a phone?
no it just allows you to do more with your device
Anil Reddy Nope. Unlocking needs to be done at the carrier level, it’s fundamentally different than jailbreaking.
Yea I can not be more happy to here good new just hope it will be here soon
