Today, following our exclusive unboxing of five different iPhone 5C rear shells on Wednesday, the staff of Jailbreak Evasion, in collaboration with iCrackUriDevice, decided to provide an even closer look at Apple’s upcoming lower-cost iPhone. For those of you who aren’t up-to-date on the latest in the world of Apple, aside from the upcoming post-iOS 7 utility to jailbreak 6.1.3 on older devices, the iPhone 5C has been all the rage lately in the Apple news sector. Earlier, we provided our readers with a sneak peak at the upcoming lower-cost iPhone and today, we’re bringing our readers an in-depth look at five iPhone 5C rear enclosures - one of each color!
In the video, which is embedded below, iCrackUriDevice performs a thorough hands-on comparison video with each of the five iPhone 5C back housings. In total, there will reportedly be five different colors for the iPhone 5C, blue, red, which actually appears to be more of a pinkish color, green, yellow and white. Images of an alleged black iPhone 5C were also leaked, however it was later confirmed that said rear shell images were fake. However, that’s not to say that Apple won’t release a completely black iPhone 5C, it’s just not likely at this point.
The button layout for the iPhone 5C is very similar to that of the iPhone 5, except the volume rocker is more of a pill shape, like the buttons found on the 5th generation iPod touch. On the bottom, starting from left to right, the iPhone 5C features a headphone jack port, a cutout for the microphone, space for a screw, the lightning connector port, another space for a screw and four cutouts for the speaker. As with the volume rocker, the bottom of the iPhone 5C more closely matches that of the 5th generation iPod touch than the iPhone 5.
Also, a current lightning connector fits into the slot intended for data transfer and charging perfectly. On the right of the device, there’s space for the sim tray, which is too small to properly fit a micro SIM, meaning the iPhone 5C will support a nano SIM - like the iPhone 5.
Apple’s iPhone 5C will allegedly be unveiled September 10th, alongside the iPhone 5 and be released on September 20th for an unspecified off-contract price.
