iPhone Unlocking Now Legal, iOS 7.1.2 Unlock iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, 5, iPhone 4S, 4 Tutorial and Price Drops are Inevitable - While Apple’s impending 7.1.3 update will certainly patch the current UnTethered iOS 7.1 through 7.1.2 jailbreak utility, it’s currently a great time for jailbreakers the world over. In addition to being able to jailbreak the latest public firmware, being iOS 7.1.2, we’ve highlighted in a detailed article how it’s possible to upgrade to iOS 8 beta 5 to test the firmware and then downgrade back to, and jailbreak, 7.1.2 - we haven’t had a period as incredible as this in years. However, what about freedom when it comes to iPhone carriers? While we can achieve root access by jailbreaking, unlocking an iPhone, let’s use unlocking an AT&T iPhone 5s for use on T-Mobile as an example, has been a completely different story, until now. Last week, following unanimous approval in the major branches of government, President Obama confirmed that he will sign the Unlocking Consumer and Wireless Competition Act into law, which will affect all cellphone owners in the United States, particularly those who are looking to Unlock iPhones, including devices like the latest iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c on iOS 7.1.2!
For those of you who aren’t familiar with the current unlocking situation, when the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (commonly referred to as the DMCA) was up for review in 2013, the section that authorized the unlocking of cellphones wasn’t renewed and, therefore, unlocking became “illegal” in the eyes of the United States law.
However, now thanks to the new Unlocking Consumer and Wireless Competition Act, unlocking will be officially be considered legal and those in desperate need of unlocking their iPhones on iOS 7.1 or 7.1.2 will be able to more easily do so with the new services that are bound to come into fruition in light of this act.
Additionally, due to the previously considered taboo act of unlocking, prices of IMEI (hardware unlocks) skyrocketed, the availability dropped off and the reliability of actually receiving the service that was paid for became almost nonexistent.
Again though, with the new act that’s about to be passed into law, all of the aforementioned difficulties involved with unlocking iPhones will change. As more IMEI iPhone unlock 7.1.2 services establish themselves, competition will increase and the current high prices will start to drop.
iCrackUriDevice’s latest weekly Jailbreak episode further discusses the Unlocking Consumer and Wireless Competition Act.

hi i need to unlock my iphone5s to use on another carrier other than at&t please help me. thanks
I am completely in favour of unlocking services being provided by this site rather than some remote on line dodgy dealers.
Hey… Something unexpected just happened to me. I was on iOS 7.1.2 and was starting to get frustrated with my battery draining so just for S&G I grabbed a copy of iOS 7.1.1 for my device… And the Apple server ACTUALLY verified the restore with that firmware. I’m not sure if it was a fluke or if Apple has started signing iOS 7.1.1 again, but if you’re stuck on 7.1.2 then get on that! The worst that can happen is it won’t work and you’ll have to restore back to 7.1.2
It will permanent unlock?????
Please read. Evasion, can you help me to unlock my iPhone 5 iOS 7.1.2 Japan lock? Please help me. I want this to be fully unlock cause I’m only using Heicard. Thanks
Where can I go to learn how to unlock phones?
Does anyone knows hiw to unlock an iPhone 5S…?
again, I ask… Evasion, how much will it cost for you to unlock an iPhone 5s? please give a response. I expect all other readers of this post to want to know what your charge will be. Thank you!
There shouldn’t be any charge for unlocking … if and when it is released. There never was in the past, so I don’t expect there to be now.
You seem confused. This is would be a hardware IMEI unlock, which has always been a paid service, as someone from the original carrier has to risk their job to input an IMEI into said carrier’s whitelist database. You must be talking about Ultrasn0w which was outdated in 2008 and hasn’t worked since.
If its paid, how much?????
when you are going to start this unlocking service.. any timeline you have in your mind??? awaiting for your confirmation.
I paid for a PAYG iPhone 5s - after 9 months wanting to change carrier, I have decided to. I now find myself having to pay TMO to release my phone . why as it was a PAYG - no subsidies what so ever!!! so unlock yes please!
Not impacted with this change. In France, we can unlock carrier devices after 3 month only for free. But good to here that things are changing too in the US. Krgs
I also forgot to say that the no contract law includes cable TV.
Our government here in Israel came out with 2 laws, first: all cell phones must be factory unlocked, and second: No more contracts meaning you can move from one cell provider to another whenever you feel like it. Because of those 2 laws the prices dropped to almost nothing compare to what it used to be ( I used to pay $100 a month for an unlimited plan on my iPhone, now I pay $20 unlimited everything including unlimited calls to all overseas countries, TV + Music and another $20 for unlimited surfing Sim for my iPad which also include TV and Music ) Because they can’t drop the prices any more they give you extras like the TV and Music also usually you get the first 6 month for free, they pretty much fight for your business not the other way around the way it used to be.
I appreciate the sentiment behind the word “JAILBREAKING”, as Apple has always put a wall around their devices and OS’es. Long lost is the spirit of the Woz creating, soldering and coming up with an open system used to delve into digital computing exploration. Doesn’t the word “DIGITAL” have the root word digit meaning “finger”? In my mind when I tell someone my iPhone is “Jailbroke” it feels like and connotes something “illegal”. With government now imposing the correct law, allowing users to have the carrier they want to use with the device they purchase, couldn’t we JAILBREAKING community come up with a more benign name for it? I don’t really see my iPhone any differently than my MACINTOSH. in that they are beautifully designed, efficient extremely powerful computers. I don’t like feeling like a Nixon crook using my phone the way I want to.
In the Netherlands ALL iDevices you buy here (unlocked or from carrier) it is always unlocked!
Yep, in Israel too. No one locks a device to a carrier. This should be illegal! You buy a device and pay for it. It’s yours. Use it however you like.
I believe evasion provide all their products & services free to all their followers. so this would also be a free service.. right???
Thats because most if the unlocking sites are fraud and nobody wanted to loose their hard earn money in some scam site…So plz provide us accurate unlocking site or software…Thanks a lot….
