Apple Allegedly Releases iOS 8 Beta 6, But Not to Developers or 7.1.2 Jailbreak Users, Secret iOS 8 Changelog - Just over two weeks ago, Apple seeded iOS 8 beta 5 to those enrolled in the company’s iOS Developer program. Strangely enough though, yesterday, Apple merely released OS X Yosemite Developer Preview 6 (10.10 DP 6) without issuing iOS 8 beta 6 to iOS developers, which was what was expected of Apple. While we’ve highlighted numerous times (five to be exact) how it’s technically possible to update to iOS 8 beta firmware without having a device’s UDID officially registered through a Developer account before downgrading to jailbreak 7.1.2, the update beta firmware was allegedly released, just not to developers. Furthermore, a purported changelog for the iOS 8 beta 6 firmware has also surfaced, which suggests that iOS 8 is nearing completion. For those of you unfamiliar with the forthcoming post-iOS 7.1.2 jailbreak update, Apple’s 8.0 firmware will introduce a number of welcome features, including Continuity to further improve the seamlessness of iOS and OS X workflow, actionable notifications, a quick-contacts feature, more intuitive speech-to-text functionality, a plethora of incredible Developer APIs and so much more! For more details on iOS 8 beta 6, including the update’s ‘secret’ changlog, continue reading.
According to a new report that was publicized earlier today by the tech bloggers at BGR, Apple allegedly passed over the developer seeding stage because “we are so close to Apple’s GM [Gold Master] build”.

If you’re unfamiliar, ‘Gold Master’ (commonly referred to by its abbreviation: GM) is a denomination that indicates a software version is ready, or close to being ready, for a public release.
While that’s good news, what about a jailbreak? A new utility would certainly be of interest to a countless number of jailbreak enthusiasts the world over, especially considering iOS 8 will boast the aforementioned additions and modifications.
Thankfully, an iOS 8 jailbreak is being developed - for more details on the process, we advise reading our in-depth jailbreak iOS 8 and iPhone 6 informative article, which can be found here.
Also, in an interesting move, Apple reportedly opted to seed iOS 8 beta 6 to the company’s carrier partners, which was allegedly rejected earlier today due to supposed complications with YouTube’s mobile site and the Safari app.
Although it’s not certain whether Apple will issue a subsequent beta iteration of iOS 8 to Developers prior to issuing the pre-release iOS 8 Gold Master (GM) update - we’ll provide you with complete coverage along the way.

For those who are interested in the changes and revisions found in the iOS 8 beta 6 build that was intended for carrier partners, a complete changlog, as suggested and reported by BGR, can be found below.
