Apple Releases 8.4.1 beta 1, TaiG to Jailbreak iOS 8.4.1 Untethered? - Today, in a completely unexpected release, Apple seeded iOS 8.4.1 to developers ensuing last week’s public release of both iOS 8.4 and the company’s new Apple Music streaming service. Unfortunately, jailbreakers running iOS 8.3 or 8.4 will certainly be threatened by iOS 8.4.1’s inevitable public release. iOS 8.4.1 beta 1 carries a slightly revised build number over its predecessor of 12H304, versus 12H14 - such a minor jump is indicative of very minor changes. Today’s new iOS 8.4.1 beta 1 seed is available for immediate download via Apple’s newly revamped Developer portal. As far as jailbreaking is concerned, as alluded to above, the firmware may very well patch the TaiG iOS 8.4 jailbreak once it’s issued to the public, making it impossible for any device to jailbreak iOS 8.4.1 Untethered utilizing TaiG. However, seeing as iOS 8.4.1. is one of the most discrete beta releases we’ve seen, jailbreakers could also be in for a surprise following 8.4.1’s release. For additional details pertaining to Apple’s new 8.4.1 beta 1 release, as well as the current Untethered TaiG 8.4 jailbreak, continue reading past the break!
Interestingly, iOS 8.4.1 is unlike most betas in the sense that its exact changes are completely unknown at this point due to the fact that Apple has yet to publicize its changelog. Usually, when logged into a developer account on Apple’s iOS portal, there will be a “Release Notes” hyperlink for each current beta seed - that’s not the case with iOS 8.4.1!
In light of the above fact, it’s currently unknown whether the TaiG Untethered jailbreak will be patched by iOS 8.4.1, though it’s an incredibly strong possibility.
Furthermore, regardless of how 8.4.1 may affect TaiG, any device that updates to the beta will forfeit their jailbreak as TaiG isn’t compatible with the beta firmware because the tool won’t recognize 8.4.1, whether it patches TaiG’s exploits or not.
Delving into how jailbreaking will be impacted by iOS 8.4.1, one of the following three scenarios will come to pass when Apple releases the firmware to the public, which are ranked in descending order of likelihood.
iOS 8.4.1 may patch enough of the vulnerabilities exploited by TaiG that an update to the utility would require that the group burns through too many exploits to justify a jailbreak for such a minor firmware. In which case, if the sizable portion of exploits are patched, we likely won’t receive another jailbreak until after iOS 9 is available later this fall.
Next, assuming TaiG’s no longer functional on 8.4.1, it’s plausible that the group has new exploits that won’t function on iOS 9 due to the firmware’s new ‘Rootless’ security measures - i.e. burning the exploits to jailbreak 8.4.1 will be irrelevant, as they wouldn’t function on 8.4.x’s predecessor (being iOS 9) anyway. In this scenario, we would receive a new jailbreak for iOS 8.4.1 from TaiG.
Finally, although this is the least likely of the three possibilities, Apple could leave the vulnerabilities TaiG exploits unpatched in 8.4.1 as the company did last December with the release of 8.1.2 (see the above video for a more thorough explanation).
Which of the three outcomes are you hoping for? Be sure to cast your vote above and let us know your thoughts in the comments!

Taig V2.4.3 iPad 3 iOS 8.4. Process still stuck at 20% what is going on. I’ve done everything I know. Can anyone help?
Bro you should just wait… It takes a bit on %20…
For whatever reason, TaiG can’t find my iPhone. It says it can’t find my Apple Device. Any advice?
check your connection or reset phone if not check your phone recognised by itune first
I have jail broken my i6 having upgraded from an i5, please can anybody tell me the name of the Cydia app that allows you to do numerous things such as turn off data, Bluetooth respring your phone by double pressing the home button as I can’t remember what it is called and would like to install it. Many thanks for any assistance…
If enough ppl just ignore the update and stick with their jbroken versions, apple may eventually get the gist and leave things be. I cant see 8.4.1 offering anything i absolutely NEED so i for one wont be updating my 8.4 broken ipad or my 8.3 broken iphone (kept it on 3 for homesharing music). If you want to keep your jbreak, just stay on your ios until a new jbreak is available. There is NO point rushing the jailbreakers or moaning, esp not when you dont know how much work and time has to go into developing a new tool. Stay on 8.4/8.3 and all is good - simples.
iOS 8.3 os perfect for me. Good performance, good battery and good security. Go to hell Apple jail! Power to the people!
how you always get same likes and same shares
Etf apple

Apple stop it. Why do you want to stop jailbreaks on your devices?

Apple is afraid. Lol
I have the 8.3 TaiG jailbreak ,should I be worried?
Why would you worry? Nothing gonna happen
As long as you don’t upgrade your IOS to the newer version your jailbreak will be fine. I’m still using 8.1.2 jailbroken.
So should i upgrade to 8.4 or stay on my 7.x.x build? Iphone 5S…thinking about upgrading tonight to new features of 8.4
Upgrade and jailbreak
Dont upgrade to ios 8.4 it will drain battery very quickly i also have an iphone 5s and it hardly get 3 or 4 hours of usage on iOS 8.4
too late, oh well…i have to leave this crap plugged in all day anyways
Andrew Campbell
Yeah they still don’t have anything Mac
Oh come one apple leave it be..
Shittt. Never happened to me before, what do we do if iOS 4 comes out and our 8.4 ceases to work? Edit: is that what happens? Or would people who’ve already jail broken 8.4 be okay? I’ve not the slightest idea. O.o
I’m so tired of waiting
I am not at all surprised at this. They put out 8.1.3 to patch taig while 8.2 was in beta 2. This will patch taig. whether Taig updates the tool for 8.4.1 is up to Taig. what a bummer.
Another update from Apple again? Geeez how many updates? Lol
WTF Apple?!
can’t wait
Did the last update solve the latest iTunes issue?!
Is there jailbreak for iOS 9 beta?
There won’t ever be a jailbreak for beta builds as it is pointless to make them for beta builds due to the fact that Apple release new betas every 2-3 weeks until final release the next jailbreak will most likely be iOS 9 after its release sometime in September
Thanks man
No taig is I used pp for Mac did it in like 5 mins not a single problem , and it was for MAC!
Is there a pp for Windows? Taig is giving me mega problems!
Yes there is
I see you support pp’s plagiarism
Is pp bad?
taig 2.4.1 for me it worked well so why to download pp wtf?! they stolen frim taig exploit
It doesn’t matter to me , taig is taking a while to release it for Mac, and there has been many versions of taig for 8.3, because of all the issues. I didn’t have any with pp jailbreak.
That’s why I’m on 8.3. Not 8.4. Jailbroke without issues tho.
With tiag.
