New iOS 8.3 Jailbreak and its Release, TaiG’s Next Untethered Utility - Today, ensuing four beta releases, Apple issued iOS 8.3 to the general public. Although we’re still eagerly awaiting a new jailbreak utility, iOS 8.3 marks an exciting time for jailbreakers the world over - we’ve moved beyond both iOS 8.1.3, the TaiG jailbreak-patching firmware, and iOS 8.2. However, before we delve into jailbreaking, let’s quickly discuss iOS 8.3 as a software update. iOS 8.3, being the third substantial 8.x update, carries a significantly revised build number over its predecessor. As usual, in addition to being available for immediate download via the traditional iTunes Restore method, one could update their device to the firmware using Apple’s built-in over-the-air update utility, which is an option that’s strongly discouraged for prospective jailbreakers as it will undoubtably cause future complications with the forthcoming iOS 8.3 jailbreak. For more on iOS 8.3, the firmware’s features and a potential jailbreak 8.3 utility, continue reading.
In spite of the fact that iOS 8.3 sports a rather substantive build number jump over 8.2, the firmware doesn’t offer much in the way of new features - especially considering TaiG has yet to release their jailbreak iOS 8.3 Untethered solution.
iOS 8.3 primarily addresses minor bugs, adds wireless CarPlay connectivity, brings ApplePay support to the China UnionPay network, adds Siri functionality for additional languages, Google 2-Step verification, a revised Emoji selection method for iOS’ default keyboard, new skin tone modifiers for select Emoji, brings the ability to initiate a speakerphone call via Siri, new non-contact filters for Messages app and improves the spacebar in the Safari.
However, in spite of the above revisions in iOS 8.3, the firmware so blatantly lacks any “killer features” that the jump from a jailbroken device on a firmware earlier than iOS 8.1.3 or iOS 8.2 betas 1 or 2 would seem utterly asinine.
Prior to discussing a potential update to iOS 8.3 for non-jailbroken devices, let’s briefly cover what we know thus far pertaining to the next jailbreak. Recently, on March 27th, TaiG held MSS 2015 (the Mobile Security Summit) in Beijing. Unsurprisingly, a vast majority of individuals and reporters took the conference as a sign of the unofficial confirmation of a new iOS 8.2 jailbreak and its release.
Following the aforementioned summit, TaiG issued an official announcement on the team’s site that not only dispelled release rumors of an iOS 8.2 jailbreak, but also confirmed that they are indeed developing a new jailbreak. Having said that, as we’ve stated a number of times in our articles this past month, TaiG wouldn’t release a utility for 8.2, but instead will wait to jailbreak iOS 8.3. That’s the smart move, as it will effectively ensure that the jailbreak isn’t promptly patched by Apple, as a solution for iOS 8.2 surely would have been by today’s 8.3 release.
Again, we know TaiG is diligently working on a new iOS 8.3 jailbreak and it’s only a matter of time before we’re bestowed with a new utility. What we would have said last week for iOS 8.3’s public release (“it can be issued at any point in time - today, tomorrow, next week, etc.”) also applies to the TaiG jailbreak for 8.3 and its release.
Now, for those of you who are regrettably on either iOS 8.1.3 or 8.2, the update to 8.3 will have a minimal impact on your ability to jailbreak with the next utility - i.e. feel free to update.
Having said that, only update via iTunes, as doing so using Apple’s OTA Feature will cause massive complications with the next utility, as it would for any jailbreak (Apple’s OTA doesn’t update a device in the same way as an iTunes restore and will often times force you into a restore due to pesky glitches if jailbroken). Again though, those of you currently unjailbroken can make the jump to iOS 8.3 knowing full well that you’ll be covered when the next jailbreak is available.
Like always, we’ll keep you completely covered on all things jailbreak - keep your browsers locked to Evasi0n Jailbreak.

when it comes out? I’ve waited a long time now, should come out soon
When does jailbreak 8.3 come out ?
Why did ionic release his jailbreak? To me I think he is lying and I bet he was running ios 8.1.2 or ios 8. Now thanks to Pangu and Tagi I got my jailbreak working for ios 8 to ios 8.1.2. But, how difficult is it when the exploit is patched? Does it take longer? Or does it mean that the ios is unjailbreakable? If ionic can release his jailbreak to the public just like Tagi and Pangu did we won’t have any problems! For real. And why did Apple even think about patching the exploits? Can Apple stop jailbreaks later on? Please answer these questions.
I just purchased the iPhone 6plus- which means it was installed with iOS 8.3. After watching most of you videos, i’ve learned there is no jailbreak for it yet. Is it possible to downgrade my iOS so that I can jailbreak it from there? Any help would be greatly appreciated!:)
Not anymore, since iTunes wont accept any old iOS, means they already remove old iOS versions in their database. Even if you have the .ipsw of e.g. iOS 8.2 or older ones it is impossible to downgrade your updated iOS phone.
Can someone help me with JB My 8.3 ios ?
Notice how ever since this Apple Watch has been out, that’s all the publications have been about? Apple Watch this and Apple watch that, which most of ou will NOT be getting, but sadly enough it seems jailbreaking has followed suit.I firmly believe ios 8.1.2 is the end of the road for us “average” jailbreakers, they’re talking about jailbreaks achieved for ioe 8.4, no longer are the days of “exciting” new about a jaibreak for ios 8.2 or 8.3 for that matter, look at the articles related to such subjects, they’re dated early April, same articles over and over. I have an iPhone 6 ios 8.1.2 jailbroken and i’m hanging on to it for life, they on’t seem to care about anyone that isn’t buying an appl watch anymore, just my opinion guys, but i see a trend here, and it’s not looking good.
Sorry for the typos, but you get my meaning.:)
Sry guys but where’s the link to download this jailbreak’s version ?? I don’t see it in any place hehe xD
Thx 😉
let’s just abandoned jailbreak because when they attempt to jailbreak 8.3 then 8.4 pops up then 8.5 so on and so forth, Apple will just release new update to prevent jailbreaking to ever happen ever again and it’s working.
I don’t believe people know what jailbreak is kinda actually is. I’ve read about coding cydia to get it to open and run but hats not the case. Apple is not too different from android with the exception that yes even I believe Apple is far more superior in what it offers to its customers once jailbroken than android. But in both platform all we are working towards is writin codes to be able to get into the root folder and have read/write access to it. That’s what a jaikbreak is. And it’s acquired in both Apple and android. The difference is only in the name while Apple is jailbreak android is rooting. The difference is that it’s actually easier to get access into androids root than it is for Apple. And this is because android does not unify all of its software with the phones for different carriers and phone developers. And Apple does. What I mean is that androids software for example lollipop 5.0 is not out for every single android device out there even new phones that come out can still come out being on old firmwares such as 4.1.1 or 4.4.4 kit kat. So all rooting techniques are different in android Han there is on Apple. But their coding system has probably got to be easier than Apples. And Apple in the other hand all their devices wether they have different chips or somewhat they all get the same firmware. And their firmware are usually patched and coding is harder than androids I believe. So I believe this is jailbreaking kind of easier way to see it than how those of you explain. Cydia is just an app that provides tweaks via sources you download into it . But cydia itself doesn’t control the root access of phone you have to acquire that somehow through an exploit. Thanks ic0n1c out!!!!!
what a load of crap. Expected from an over-paying for chinese technology apple zombie fanboy.

How long will it take to release jb for iOS 8.3?
Where is the download
Evasion how long does it take to just code the cydia app and the future for things to download to your I device just like the app store?
Hi dustin, If it was so easy do it yourself. + A Jailbreak gives more opportunities than only isntall games & stuff, it gives you the freedom of your device. Which just a simple app can’t give.
yourse sincerly
Steve Jobs
Haha
my cydia shown a message when i refresh it in change option …. its shown … the packagecom jailbreak.kk needs to be installed but i cant find an archive for it …..

What are you doing guys? How many days we will wait
I’m on iOS 8.1.2 with iphone5c and didn’t update to the next update can I jailbreak my phone and if so what’s the best on to download
Pangu. http://www.pangu.io
Lmao jus get an android don’t have to wait for a jb plus it’s seems to be a lot of oh next update next update if that’s the case your gonna wait forever. Look how fast they are pushing out updates and new platforms. 8 jus came out already 9 is coming around the corner. Android is stepping up and then you will see how much of a waste it was buying an Apple to wait for other people’s hard work which they don’t get paid to do.
Go away. Apple has a better UI and fanbase. I see where your coming from but it is better being able to say you have a apple rather then having an android for some reason.
First of all, people who jailbreak (like me) are waiting patiently for the new jailbreak because we love apple and want all the freedom a jailbreak gives us. I had and Android for two years, and will personally never go back.

kaozada do caralho
ou que isso tio, meca suas palavras parça
lol fudidos
I find it kind of funny that the jailbreakers are always waiting on the next iOS update are they just going to wait on 9,10,11 or what I say just use what you have because Apple is always gonna have an update no matter what.
i think TaiG has been sold to Apple i mean Apple pays them not only to stop jailbreaking but they are also selling away crucial exploits for JB so don’t trust this TaiG they have already been sold to Apple :p
yuppp…..looks lik,e….they kept wasting time…and good for u apple….lol
Do you know how many hours it takes to create a new jailbreak? Hundreds…. We’re lucky we even receive tools.
I want to THANK Evasi0n, TaiG, Pangu, and pp for all the hard work they do to help out everyone! 2 thumbs up!!! Apple hasn’t bought anyone out. The ONLY REASON WE BUY IPHONES is for the JAILBREAK!! without it I would buy ANDROID… they have tons of apps now! WE just got our new IPhone 6 pluses, we lost our jailbreak, but we will wait patiently for a new jailbreak. THANKS AGAIN TO ALL THOSE WHO WORK SO HARD!!! so us little guys can enjoy!
I just wanted to ask all of you guys a question. Do you guys no how long it takes just to code the cydia icon and make it open it takes a long time so you guys can come back when you made a jailbreak or a app then say it’s easy. Keep going evasion!!
waiting for 8.3 jailbreak please
still waiting for the jailbreak 😀
please jailbreak ios 8.1.3
pangu.io, http://www.taig.com/en/, http://www.iphonehacks.com/download-pp-jailbreak. Your welcome.
so those that update to 8.3 by the OTA are not going to be able to jailbreak?
Don’t quote me on it, but I’m pretty sure if you update via OTA, you are likely to get bugs in your Jailbreak - Still Jailbreakable, but not as effective.
DOES IT WORK WITH IPAD-MINI ?
Is it safe to update to iOS 8.3?? Will it prolong the date of the jailbreak for those users??
No the jailbreak for ios 8.2 - 8.1.3 will most likely work for ios 8.3 because apple didn’t patch any new bugs with that update. Just update using iTunes and not OTA.
When does the Jailbreak be released as I have got the new IOS 8.3 update on my iPhone 6?
“the update to 8.3 will have a minimal impact on your ability to jailbreak with the next utility” Although @MuscleNerd states otherwise, can you please clarify if the jump from 8.2 -> 8.3 was a bad move or not, as my top two sources for Jailbreak updates have two different opinions on the updating to 8.3.
No they are not different opinions, @MuscleNerd stated that (but JBers still need to avoid it), that means whoever is jailbroken i.e “on iOS 8.1.2” needs to avoid this and wait. And unluckily the one’s with iOS 8.1.3 or 8.2 on their iDevices can update as TaiG Team has no plans of jailbreaking iOS 8.1.3 or 8.2 (They are considered to be unjailbreakable !)

Waiting for JB now
iphone without cydia is not iphone 😛 im waiting jb for ios 8.3 iphone 5
iphone without cydia is not iphone 😛 im waiting jb for 8.3 iphone 5
Just to confirm… I know to update through the computer but can I just plug it in and press update in iTunes like normally or do I have to click restore and update the firmware through that option…? Is updating it by just clicking update fine for the phone to be ready for jailbreak?
Why cannot jb my 8.2
Instead of updating through iTunes restore, can I just update the phone through iTunes instead without the restore?
They say not to, and if you can go for the computer so there are no bugs when the new jailbreak comes available.

Another reason why iOS needs to be open source since is based on Free BSD
Change your twitter name ! 8.2 to 8.3 😛
We’re working on it, lots of site updates too 😀
Can I still update to 8.2 as long as it’s still being signed? I’m on 8.1.3?
Just update to 8.3 since they’re working on that first.
Don’t forget to update via iTunes on the computer instead of OTA
Ok thanks!
Will it work on 8.3? Now
i think yes
Cuz when I try it it sad that I needed the 12.0.1 iTunes and I couldn’t jailbreak
download newest itune and try again
Il get bac to u on that part but I’ll re download the taig and do it again ha
first release ios 8.2 JB
Why that’s stupid when 8.3 is out

jb 8.2 is not easy , so that when they find the way is near 8.3 released , then they want used the way jb 8.2 for fw 8.3
