Apple Releases iOS 8.3 beta 1, Will I be Able to Jailbreak 8.3 and Should I Update? - Today, while the majority of jailbreakers are either avoiding iOS 8.1.3 or recovering from the serious blow to the jailbreak community that said firmware delivered, seeing as 8.1.3 is neither jailbreakable via TaiG nor is it likely to be any time soon, Apple seeded the first beta iteration of iOS 8.3 to developers officially enrolled in the company’s iOS 8 Developer Program. Interestingly, without having released iOS 8.2 to the public, Apple currently has two beta versions of iOS in Developer testing simultaneously. With a significantly revised build number over its predecessor of 12F5027d, compared to 12D5461b (8.2 beta 5’s build number), it can be correctly assumed that iOS 8.3 provides additional features over iOS 8.1.3 and even the unreleased 8.2. Today’s new iOS 8.3 beta 1 firmware is strictly available for immediate developer download through Apple’s official iOS 8 Developer Portal - however, those developers who are currently jailbroken on iOS 8.1.2 or earlier should undeniably avoid the new beta release. In what appears to be an effort to mitigate subsequent 8.3.x updates (seeing as the company was forced to issue a number iOS 8.1.x releases), Apple is now effectively utilizing developers to test iOS 8.3 far in advance and may be planning a similar strategy for iOS 8.4. In addition to new features, as with iOS 8.1.3 and 8.2 beta 5, the vulnerabilities exploited by TaiG to achieve an untethered jailbreak remain patched in iOS 8.3, making it impossible for any device to jailbreak 8.3 beta 1 untethered using the current utility. For more on iOS 8.3, the rumored iOS 8.4 firmware, as well as how the firmwares may play into jailbreaking, continue past the break!
As fas as iOS 8.3 is concerned, although the update does feature a number of revisions over both iOS 8.1.x and iOS 8.2, at this point they’re basically trivial and simply intended to improve user-expierence throughout several small areas that most wouldn’t even notice.
In addition to removing the “beta” designation from the iCloud Photo Library feature, iOS 8.3 adds wireless connectivity for CarPlay features (previously iOS devices needed to be plugged into a supported system using a Lightning cable), refines the emoji portion of iOS 8’s keyboard by making the categories completely scrollable, adds new two-step verification for devices logging in through a Google account and may bring Apple Pay support to China in the near future.
Although iOS 8.3 adds a number of minor improvements to several areas, it’s recommended that all who are currently jailbroken on iOS 8 through 8.1.2 avoid the new beta update. Currently, like iOS 8.2, the new 8.3 beta firmware’s features are unappealing at best and although that could change prior to the new version’s release, updating to either 8.1.3 or the 8.2 and 8.3 betas certainly doesn’t justify the loss of one’s jailbreak.
Also, along the same lines, according to MacRumors (who accurately predicted iOS 8.1.3’s release by monitoring their web traffic) Apple may be planning to issue iOS 8.4 as well following the release of the forthcoming Apple Watch. Allegedly codenamed “Copper,” iOS 8.4 may integrate a new music streaming service from Apple, likely a rebranded version of the company’s own Beats music.
To summarize, with the minor iOS 8.1.3 update first having delivered the TaiG jailbreak-patching remedy, the new TaiG and Pangu dev teams are likely working on a post 8.1.3 jailbreak solution. In other words, it’s entirely possible that a new jailbreak utility will arrive as soon as next month alongside iOS 8.2’s rumored public release.
While TaiG did promise to provide “surprises” for every public iOS release, the group has since removed the aforementioned message from their site. Seeing as TaiG used a single developer (XN) to create their first tool, it’s possible that the group was in over their heads so to speak and is now setting their sights on iOS 8.2 and beyond, as Pangu is also undoubtedly doing.
After all, it’s the smart move to wait for at least iOS 8.2’s release before issuing a new jailbreak as the vulnerabilities used to create something like an 8.1.3 jailbreak would essentially be wasted on such a minor firmware.
Having said that, for our readers who have yet to jailbreak and are running either iOS 8.1.2 or 8.1.3, it’s not too late! We highly recommend following either the comprehensive TaiG jailbreak 8.1.2 Untethered tutorial or our newer downgrade 8.1.3 to iOS 8.1.2 guide, depending on your device’s firmware, to make the most of the latest jailbreak.

You seriously have to be kidding, right?
hi? is it true that apple will stop their support on iphone 4s?
Yes. iPhone 4s was shipped with iOS 5 when Introduced, and has phased through all 3 major versions of iOS updates. iOS 5, iOS 6, iOS 7, and iOS 8. iPhone 4s support will end in September 2015.
my phone is currently in recovery mode. I jailbroke my iphone 5c months ago but now its having trouble, the apple screen is showing as if my phone is turning on and then the screen is completely cutting off again making my screen completely blank…forcing me to update to ios 8.1.3 hopefully the jailbreak comes soon. I also miss Message coloriser for the jailbreak, will the newest jailbreak have that as well?

Absolutely!
Can I Jailbreak 8.1.3?
Please read the article.
Can I update now to 8.1.2 and jailbreak ? I have iPad 3
Yes, but only if you have iTunes v12.0.x. Follow this to upgrade straight to 8.1.2 and then jailbreak with TaiG or PP (all the details are in the following post): http://www.evasi0njailbreak.com/ios-8.1.3-downgrade-8.1.2-jailbreak-taig-pp/
Still on iOS 8.1 safe for me ???? I know a secret way to get paid Cydia packages for free from Cyda without a source (but you have to have add the “official” source first)… donno many people haven’t used that package ???? It’s good for teenagers like me, I have money though but I don’t want to spent it on Cydia tweaks ???? Secret way that I never gonna say ???? Will always stay jailbroken.
8.1.2 on 5S n 7.1.2 on iPad… M happy more with 7.1.2
Really? If your iPad were on iOS 8.x, you could send and receive SMS/MMS texts, make phone calls and pickup where you left off on your iPhone in certain apps.
My future purchase of the Apple watch will solely depend on the release of the IOS 8.3 jailbreak
Then you’ll be waiting, as 8.3 won’t drop until after the Apple Watch. It’s more likely that an 8.2 jailbreak will be released first.
8.1.3 ????
I will not update until a new jailbreak is out for the newer iOS Running iOS 8.1.1 jailbreak and works fine
Smart move, no need to update until 8.2+ anyway.
So 8.2 beta and 8.3 beta are available simultaneously now and none of both are available to the general public yet? That’s weird. I haven’t checked the dev resources in a while…
That’s correct! It’s definitely a first for Apple… iOS 8.2 is rumored to be released to the public next month, while iOS 8.3 will likely follow once the Apple Watch is released.
omg how many iOS versions is Apple going to come up with? Lol geez that’s crazy!!!
How to jailbreak 8.1.3
Apple tv 3 jailbreak?? Any news??
Unfortunately, it likely won’t happen :/ it’s not “pressing” enough.
????
The only difference between the two is basically 720p vs 1080p not a big factor in the jailbreak world…
just buy Htc
No.
Ios9 is that coming anytime soon or is that like a yr away???
In the fall, so it’s a ways away.
Wtf. 8.2 is not even released and they’re already working on 8.3
More than just working on it, they’ve seeded it to developers for testing. They’re “already working on” 8.4 and iOS 9!
Wait for it don’t waste it wait for iOS 9
They’ll likely release a jailbreak for 8.2 +
iOS 9 would be sick, without jailbreak.
And even better with a jailbreak 😀
