iOS 6.1.4 Released for iPhone 5, Evasion Jailbreak 6.1.4 Details
Apple Releases iOS 6.1.4 for iPhone 5, Evasion Jailbreak 6.1.4 Warning - Today, in a rather peculiar update, Apple released iOS 6.1.4 to the public, which appears to be exclusive to the iPhone 5. Today’s iOS 6.1.4 firmware follows the release of Apple’s 6.1.3 update on March 19th that was issued to bring minor improvements and bug fixes to iOS. Unfortunately, like with iOS 6.1.3, today’s 6.1.4 release is unable to be jailbroken by evasi0n. Additionally, 6.1.4 is on the smaller side of firmware updates, weighing in at merely 11.5MB in size for Apple’s over the air (OTA) update feature on an iPhone 5 running 6.1.3.
Jailbreak 6.1.4 iOS Information and Warning
The newest iPhone 5-exclusive version of iOS, which carries a build number of 10B350, appears to only update the audio profile for speakerphone mode on the iPhone 5.
As previously mentioned, iOS 6.1.4 is the successor to 6.1.3: the update that patched a number of iOS vulnerabilities that were previously exploited by evasion to achieve an UnTethered jailbreak on iOS 6.0 through 6.1.2.
Needless to say, if you’re jailbroken on an earlier version of iOS 6, and you wish to maintain your device(s) jailbroken status, avoid both iOS 6.1.3 and 6.1.4 like the plague. If you have yet to jailbreak your iOS-device(s) on iOS 6.0 or 6.1.2 using evasi0n, we highly recommend following our in-depth jailbreak tutorial.
Although A4-powered devices are able to jailbreak 6.1.3 (the latest firmware for devices other than the iPhone 5) using a Redsn0w workaround to achieve a semi UnTethered jailbreak, iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, iPad 4, iPad 3, iPad 2 and iPod touch 5G owners who update past iOS 6.1.2 will regrettably be stuck on the latest firmware without the possibility of jailbreaking.

this is compltely fucking stupid. like honestly, i got my iphone 5 in january and havent update it since it was on ios 6.1.1 when i bought it and i was looking into jailbreaking it. i updated it by accident this morning trying to see what ios i was on and now i cant do it for God knows how long… really this is bullshit.

I agree with you 100% I can’t believe that my sister can have more fun with her droid than me with my iPhone. Honestly she has the capability to receive text alerts from who she wants or doesn’t want. I was able to do it but only once I jailbroke my iPhone using iBlacklist.

I have a jailbroken ipad 2 with ios6.1, I was wondering is there any updates I can do or should I just leave my ipad 2 as is. I have been encountering some issues with trying to stream live storm chasing videos on my ipad ( iphone5 not jailbroken works fine on the same site) and was wondering if an update might fix this issue but not sure if I can even upgrade my ios 6.1 ipad 2 to a newer version. Any help would be appreciated.

Yep sold my iPhone 5 on eBay got more than I wanted, I put starting bid at 100 and got 600 and my HTC ONE was 199 so I did a 400 profit, that’s the only good of a iPhone 5 apple never again!! iOS 7 will flop as well as iPhone 5S or 6 what ever they call the stupid thing!! No jailbreak for iOS 6.1.3 or 6.1.4:((( we are stuck till iOS 7 and more issues than to knowing apple, all the $$$ they make and they can’t get things together yet??? I’d have to agree with Chris , but not with those exact words. As a long existing iphone user and experienced user and repairer of many top brand smart phones… Apple does have the top notch for genius technology thats not copied from anyone else and durability is a plus… Samsung is its only competitor but is now under scrutiny for copying apple. That said, android OS is very vulnerable to bugs that occur from simple downloads from the web… HTC’s hardware is superior but they should have not relied on android os.. why create and supreme device that has to rely on a vulnerable OS. Samsung’s release of SIV is now gonna be facing the force of iphone 5s or 6 thats what happens when you rush the market too early… anyway, long live Apple and I devices.. i still dont totally agre with some of the policies of apple but i’m a supporter of ingenious technology and apple’s got that.

Yur gonna have to wait for ios 7… I adivse anyone with ios 6.o -6.1.2 to remain calm and stay there… its jailbreakable and still works great.. I have iphones- 3Gs Ios 6.1.2 jailbroken, iphone 4 ios 6.1.2 factory unlocked an jailbroken and iphone 5 ios 6.1.2 jailbroken and they all work fine… whats the need for a minor update that is gonna risk screwing up yur phone back to stock firmware and no jailbreak… lets face it and iphone without a jailbreak is like having a calculator with no numbers…long live the jailbreak revolution!

You can Jailbreak iOS 6.1.3 & 6.1.4 with Redsnow. If you have your SHSH blobs saved, you can also downgrade to another iOS version.

this sucks, I had a jailbroken iphone 5 on 6.1 through Evasion. However my power button started to not operate properly. So i had to take it in to Apple. They simply replaced my phone with a new one with 6.1.3 already installed. I wish there was a jailbreak for this ios.

Y’all should google “install apps without jailbreaking” I bought the iPhone 5 with 6.1.3 installed but have enjoyed having all paid apps with that Asian program till evasion drops the next jailbreak. Just no cydia but I can wait ????

everyone needs to stop saying to jailbreak 6.1.3. They will NOT be doing it, because it was just a small firmware update. The evasi0n dev team and p0sixninja will either wait until the next major version of iOS 6, or just wait until iOS 7 is released. Even then, they are toing to wait until the last firmware update for 7 before pushing out an untethered jailbreak utility.

I rebuilt my laptop and tried to restore my iTunes music/films, but when I did the restore it automatically updated the IOS from 5.1.1 to 6.1.3, can you please do a jailbreak for iPad 2 on 6.1.3. I miss my jail broken APP’s so much. Many thanks
