Finally, WinterBoard 0.9.3915 Update Fixes 7.0.4 Jailbreak Status Bar Issues
Finally, Fix Status Bar Jailbreak 7.0.4 Issues With WinterBoard 0.9.3915Late last night, Saurik (the creator of both Cydia and Substrate) released an updated version of WinterBoard, the world-renowned theming platform for iOS: 0.9.3915. For those of you who opted to jailbreak 7.0.4 and install an earlier iteration of WinterBoard, you may already be privy to what most would consider a major annoyance. Until last night, WinterBoard users experienced a rather glaring caching issue that caused the status bar on iOS 7 through 7.0.4 to not display properly.
The latest release, version 0.9.3915, also corrects an issue with ‘WebKit Transforms’, fixes Calendar icon text styling problems and includes a solution for an install path problem.
Those of you who have a pre-0.9.3915 iteration of WinterBoard installed need only open Cydia, allow for the refresh to process and install the available update.
If you have yet to install WinterBoard on your jailbroken iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, simply search for the package and install it, you’ll automatically download the latest version.
Unfortunately, while this new release does rectify a significant annoyance, the persistent black status bar issue that is present through certain apps (primarily the Camera app) remains an eyesore.
