Download Evasi0n UnTethered Jailbreak 6.1 Utility, Updated to 1.3
For those of you who are already jailbroken on iOS 6.1 with evasi0n 1.0, there’s no need to re-jailbreak with the updated evasion tool. To apply the revisions, launch Cydia, wait for it to refresh and install the available updates.
Like the previous version of the Evasi0n Untethered iOS 6.1 Jailbreak utility, the following devices are supported:
- iPhone 5
- iPhone 4S
- iPhone 4
- iPhone 3Gs
- iPad 4
- iPad Mini
- iPad 3
- iPad 2
- iPod touch 5th generation
- iPod touch 4th generation
- Apple TV 2nd gen (unfortunately, the third generation Apple tv is excluded from evasi0n)
If you haven’t jailbroken your iOS device(s) by now, be sure to visit our complete and in-depth written tutorial for iOS 6 (6.0.1, 6.0.2 and 6.1).
Requirements
The following is a list of official requirements for the evasi0n untethered jailbreak, as stated by the evad3rs
- A USB cable to connect the device to the computer
- 5 minutes of your time!
- A computer, running Windows (XP minimum), Mac OS X (10.6 minimum) or Linux (x86 / x86_64)
- An iPhone, iPad or iPod running iOS 6.0 through 6.1

Update 2: Evasi0n has recently been updated to version 1.3 to include full Untethered jailbreak support for Apple’s new iPhone 4S-exclusive 6.1.1 firmware.

Help! I downgrade my firmware 6.1.3 to 6.1 after that I used the Redsnow tool ‘just boot’ to boot my iPod 4th gen but now I want a Tethered jailbreak so I installed the evasi0n Untether package and than tryed to reboot but he won’t reboot without Redsnow. Please help? Sorry for my bad English it’s not my native language.

When I connect my iPad (4th gen) to the computer, it is not reading on the Evasi0n application that it is connected. The status bar on my iPad acknowledges that it is connected, but reads, “Not Charging.” I am not sure what the issue is. The same thing occurs with my iPod (4th gen).

You forgot to tell people that the latest version of Itunes MUST be installed, otherwise Evasion simply won’t detect yout iDevice! I found that after hours of failed attempts.

what if i have a already jailbroken device but i didnt use redsnow can i still jailbreak it?
It’s best to create a backup in iTunes, restore to 6.1, jailbreak and restore from your iTunes backup!
well done!!! cydia unable to load (internet connection appear to be offline) have the original sim with no service and wi-fi off (cannot put on ) any suggestions? thanks

hey first thing first, awesome job with the jailbreak. Ok i did the update and the weather app still doesnt work. Can you guys help out with problem.
i even tried to re-jailbreaking. reboot seems like nothing helps.
It’s quite possible that one of your packages is conflicting. If you have anything installed related to cracked apps, it will persistently crash.

Yeah! Just reboot your iDevice and open Cydia

Try rebooting and checking Cydia again.
I updated the evasi0n jailbreak utility in my iphone 4S and the IOS Weather tweak is still bugged and wont open. Wasnt this update suposed to correct that bug?
If you have any tweak installed that’s related to cracked apps, Weather won’t function properly.
Well, i said weather tweak, but i meant the weather app that already comes installed in the IOS. My bad. In my Iphone this app is still bugged and dont work or even open with this new update. Nevertheless, outstanding job you guys done with the JB. Really apretiate your effort. Gratz and keep up the good work!
