In a tweet to his followers, renowned hacker pod2g of the evad3rs informed the jailbreak community that the team has heard the voice of the masses and has decided to remove TaiG, a deal that reportedly netted the team a cool $1,000,000 simply for bundling the jailbreak with the store, which was later discovered featuring a multitude of pirated apps.
Moreover, in a followup tweet, pod2g also revealed that the team is aware of certain compatibility issues with the iPad 2 and stated that they’ll update it soon - for now however, the evad3rs are spending time with family.
We still have to work on the compatibility issue with the iPad 2, but we have been busy celebrating with our family… Tomorrow probably!

IF YOUR IDEVICE IS STUCK IN A BOOT LOOP AFTER YOU DOWNLOADED SOMWTHING OFF CYDIA, TRY THIS BEFORE GOING IN RECOVERY MODE AND RESTORING. Hold down the power/sleep button and home button, after the screen goes black, let go of the power/sleep button and continue holding he home button for a couple more seconds then release, your screen should stay black. If not, repeat it and hold the home button for longer. Now hold down the volume up button and power/sleep button, once you see the apple logo, let go of the power/sleep button but continue holding the volume up button, hold it until your Idevice gets to it’s lock screen, this should put you in safe mode, remove any cydia tweaks you downloaded. It worked for me, I hope it works for you too.

First off, did you download a tweak off cydia that put you in the boot loop? If not then this won’t work for you, and you have to make sure your device is off before you hold down the power button and volume up button.
I didn’t download anything its the jailbreak and the apple logo is just showing lits been like that for hours
If you didn’t download anything then this won’t work for you, sorry but you’re gonna have to go into recovery mode and retry the jailbreak

Make sure your device isn’t plugged into your computer. You have to hold down the power button and home button until the screen goes black, then let go of the power button but continue holding the home button and plug it into your computer. Make sure iTunes is open.

I’ve done a few jailbreaks with Evasion b4 and have NEVER had problems with ANY previous versions of your jailbreak, THAT was until NOW,(4th gen iPod touch on 6.1.5 & my iPad 2 on 7.0.4, both were jailbroken b4 U said it was ok to update)!!! Releasing the jailbreak without checking to see if it works properly on ALL THE DEVICES you mentioned that it would work on is BS. I should have waited to read to review & comments. If you aren’t capable of following Evasion’s explicit instructions, don’t jailbreak. 1.0.1 doesn’t do anything different from 1.0.0 other than not installing the Taig app store for people in china. But if you’re in any other country Taig won’t install anyway.
The jailbreak was successfully done with Cydia operating but its not recognizing my carrier and continously says sim not valid so i am unable to use any sim on it so using it without the sim Need help, isint it that after the JB it should accept any sim that is put on
It’s not that After the JailBreak your iPhone/iPad should accept any sim, you are not the only one with the problem, i fixed it just by restarting. You could try to hold the Home + Power button for 10 to 15 seconds.

I am not connected through wifi. I also try using direct jailbreak via 7jailbreak.com ( from my iphone) but it gets stuck when I install the game application required to finish the jailbreak.
My attempts to download the latest version of Evasion results in a screen that tells me to wait a few second or like to skip; but there are no option on the window and I can’t move further. Is anyone else experiencing this? Solved my own problem using IE instead of Chrome.

Acually, you can take out a jailbreak, but to do that you have to reset your phone, and then intall the latest version of Evasi0n on your computer

My iphone 4 is in the infinite apple loop, and I’ve tried: -the restarting the iphone method pressing the lock and home button -the restoring method in itunes.. ( fails at the middle or at the end with a message of software download corrupted or that the network connection restarted.. ) Will I have to wait till the evasion team releases something else to revive my iPhone? I’m quite heartbroken about this… ._.

its going to take a couple days because the iphone 5s has a A7 processor, its could take a couple days to fix but saurik is working on it, and its not “their” job to fix or upgrade, they only bring news about the jailbreak.

1.connect ur device with usb to your pc 2.start itunes itunes does not see your device, this is correct for the moment. 3. hold your powerbotton and homebotton in untill itunes detects a device in restoremode. this can take 30 second. maybe faster. 4. Itunes detects your device, itunes is saying ur device is in restoremode and now you can restore it to factoryreset or backup. I hope i helped your bro!!!

Try putting your phone in DFU mode and Restoring. then do the jailbreak process again. seems to have worked fine for me.

Mark, open iTunes “be sure your iTunes is up to date” press home and power button at the same time, when you see the ITunes logo connect the USB cable to the phone and when it’s recognized by iTunes press restore, be sure you are connected to internet on your computer before, and when the restore finish repeat the jailbreak again. If you have a backup on your iTunes restore your backup and you are already.

This was exactly the information I needed — what order to do the upgrade if you already have a 6.1.2 device that is jailbroken. But… I followed these steps exactly on my iPad 3 WiFi/3G. It was definitely Jailbroken after the Envasi0n step, since I watched Cydia set up the file system. After I recovered the backup I made before starting, I no longer have a jailbreak. Just as if I had never done the Envasi0n step. This means a lot of work on the iPad so it is arranged like I had it in 6.1.2 and re-installing all the Cydia Apps. (After I Jailbreak it again.) No issue with the Jailbreak, it just does not survive the recovery of user data.

I jail broke first try on my iPhone 4S. No problems! As for packages and apps it’s only going to be a short time before all that is ready. Some do work though. I just happy I have JB again! Never updating so quick again!

I’m running 6.1.2 jailbroken on my iPhone 4S and I’m happy with it so far. I’m concerned that 7.1 may patch the jailbreak and I’m not sure if I should stay on iOS 6 or update to 7 to ensure that it’ll be jailbreakable. I have blobs for 6.1.3 if I ever want to downgrade (though the iTunes updates have made it harder to downgrade). What would Jailbreak Evasion recommend I do: Update and lose my current jailbreak, or stay on 6.1.2 until I can guarantee that tweaks will work with 7 and 6.1.3 can be jailbroken untethered?

We’re told there’s a fix in the works. For now, you can backup, restore to 7.0.4, jailbreak and then restore from your backup. That should do the trick.

I have and iPhone 5s and i jailbroke yesterday, everything went smoothly but whenever i download a tweak that is compatible with ios 7, it takes no effect on my phone and it doesn’t show up in my settings like it is suppose too, can you explain why? I know since i have a 5s that less tweaks will work for me but i looked a several lists that show tweaks that are compatible with the 5s but im having no luck.
Mobile Substrate isn’t up to date yet, so you’ll have to wait after christmas for Saurik to upgrade the current one and Evaders to update the jailbreak. Nothings working yet until they can get it figured out. Be patient

You have to restore your idevice again. Before that, you hold the power and home button for 10 second then release only the power button for another 10 second to get into dfu mood. Your itunes will detect your idevice in dfu mood. =)

Their next update is suppose to have a better iPad 2 support. So those who are trying stop cause it won’t work. Just wait until they can fix it.
I have try to backup, fully restore my ipad 2, but then when jailbreak done, it is still stuck at loop boot, 3 attempt. Does this new JB tool fix that ?

The version that the evad3rs will push out in the next day or so will correct iPad 2 issues. For now, just restore to 7.0.4 and wait - there aren’t a lot of packages out right now anyway. You’ll be all set in a couple of days 😀

Make sure you also run as admin, that helped me!
I have an iPhone 5 and I tried to jailbreak yesterday and my idevice was stuck in a boot loop so I then restored it so I now I can use my idevice. I still want to jailbreak my idevice, but don’t want to get stuck in another boot loop. Any suggestions?
Dont update over air, restore over itunes on pc and download software on there.
As stated in our written tutorial, backup inside iTunes FIRST, restore to 7.0.4, jailbreak and then restore from backup.
