Apple Releases 7.1 Beta 5, It’s Now Impossible To Jailbreak 7.1 Using Evasi0n

Apple Releases 7.1 Beta 5, It’s Impossible to Jailbreak 7.1 due to Evasi0n7 PatchToday, just over two weeks after issuing the fourth iOS 7.1 beta to developers, Apple seeded 7.1 beta 5 for those enrolled in the company’s official iOS Developer Program. In addition to being available for immediate download via Apple’s Dev Center for registered iOS Developers, iOS 7.1 beta 5 can also be downloaded as an over-the-air (OTA) update for devices running a previous 7.1 beta. Unfortunately, as we highlighted in a pervious article, it will be impossible to jailbreak 7.1 (beta 5 and later) using the UnTethered Evasi0n 7 Jailbreak, as a primary kernel exploit utilized by the utility was patched in the fourth 7.1 beta.

As for the firmware itself , the 7.1 beta 5 update was compiled with a new build number of 11D5145e, which only slightly differs from that of its predecessor, suggesting minor revisions.

The fifth beta, according to Apple’s release notes for the firmware, introduces new “natural-sounding” Siri voices for English (United Kingdom and Australia), Japanese and Chinese (Mandarin) devices.

Furthermore, the new beta also includes a compact iteration of Siri for the languages mentioned above that can then expand into its more natural tone once a device is connected to both a Wi-Fi network and a power source.

The iOS device initially uses a compact voice for Siri. After you have configured a Wi-Fi network and have the device connected to a power source, iOS will automatically download and install a higher quality version.

While the most notable revision, aside from minor bug corrections, is listed above, details on Apple’s previous iOS 7.1 betas can be found in our earlier posts on the firmwares: Beta 1, Beta 2, Beta 3, Beta 4.

Is it Possible to Jailbreak 7.1 beta 5?

As far as jailbreaking is concerned, for those of you who wish to keep and maintain your iDevice’s jailbroken state, avoid the latest iOS 7.1 beta and the finalized version of the firmware at all costs.

It’s 100 percent official that the easi0n7 UnTethered 7.0.4 jailbreak was partially patched by Apple in their previous beta release, which will effectively render the utility useless once Apple releases 7.1 to the masses.

We’ll have additional details on 7.1 in the days and weeks to come, stay tuned for in-depth coverage on new firmware and keep your browsers locked to iJailbreak Evasion.

What I want to know is how to downgrade! I haven’t been able to find it anywhere. My iPhone 3GS is happy on its untethered iOS 6.1.3 jailbreak with p0sixspwn (and can never be upgraded), but my iPhone 4S on 7.0.4 and still not jailbroken. I kinda like stock iOS 7.x so far, BUT if I ever do want to jailbreak, are the blobs I saved for iOS 7.0.4 using TinyUmbrella ENOUGH to downgrade the 4S to iOS 7.0.4 at a later time? I haven’t tried downgrading my iOS since BEFORE the whole Cydia mishap with the iOS 6.x SHSH blobs & APTickets, and that was on my 3GS so I’m sure a lot has changed with the newer phone and the newer iOS. Has anyone verified that TinyUmbrella will let you downgrade to iOS 7.0.x with the blobs and/or APTickets it saves? I’m sorry if this is the wrong forum to ask this, but I can’t seem to find anything on the web talking about downgrading TO iOS 7.x (only FROM 7.x TO 6.x or earlier). Anyone have any info on this?

    • Jynto says:

I didn’t think downgrading works at all on the iPhone 4S, only 4 and lower, due to differences in the A5 processor. I suggest jailbreaking now, even if it’s only like a 10% chance that you will want it jailbroken later. If you need to get it repaired at the Apple Store, you could always download a tweak that hides the Cydia icon, so they’re none the wiser.

  7. Chris says:

good job evaders and people that wanted the jailbreak to be released at 7.0.4 :)

I don’t think it’s a scam. If it weren’t for this website I and many others would never have a jail break. My iPad 2 went to boot loop after I installed IcaughtU so I had to restore in recovery mode which would be tough for ppl who don’t what they’re doing. So yes they would come to your shop lol. Main crticism from me is there was not enough support for this boot loop problem and the so called update for Evasion wouldn’t download from the link. Overall though I think I owe thanks to the ppl running this site

  9. like i said says:

i told you so tere wouldnt be a jailbreak this website is the biggest scam ive ever seen but all of youthat dont believe me please have faith in this website:) ill talk to you when you come down my shop to repair your iPhone

    • Max says:

What are you a moron? Try paying attention. The Jail break is and has been available for phones running IOS 7 (and previous). IOS 7.1 patches the exploit used by evasion. It’s simple, so get a clue or be quiet.

    • like i said is an idiot says:

You’re an idiot. evasi0n works perfect on ios7 7.0.4 and below. nothing scammy about it. I pray I never end up in your shop because no doubt i’d end up with a phone even more messed up since you obviously are clueless.

  10. phaze*one says:

Nathan: Jailbreaking is the process of removing limitations on any iOS, will just say (Mac mobile operating system) & devices running it through the use of software and hardware exploits just to name a couple iphone, iPad, & iPod. pretty much going far beyond Apple’s software, which Apple don’t want because they want you & me to spend our whole check @ the app store.

  11. Ebsplace says:

Sara I wouldn’t update if you are on 7.0-7.0.4 you can jailbreak with evasi0n tool anything above that you will loose jailbreak if you update :( according to the devs there saying avoid anything above 7.04

    • Sara says:

I haven’t updated to ios7 yet. My computer has been down so I’m still running the last jailbreak from 6.whatever it was lol I pick up my computer in a couple hours and had planned to update and jailbreak…. So I shouldn’t? Wait for ios8 now? Damn! My luck! Lol

  12. Sara says:

This is just for people in the developers program as of right now right? Us regular phone users can still update and jailbreak right? Am I understanding this correctly? lol

  13. Nathan says:

    Jailbreaking** and they**

  14. Nathan says:

If jail breaking is legal why would Apple try so hard to stop it? I only got an iPhone because of the awesome tweaks. I hope Apple realizes that try may lose costumers because if this. Just a thought.

    • Max says:

Jail breaking uses “exploit” that are security issues with the handset. Fixing these is important for Apple, so that they can maintain a secure environment. Jailbreak also allows unauthorized third party software to be installed (could be malicious). So, Apple is protecting the security and stability of the IOS eco-system. Still, I have jailbroken every iPhone I have owned since the original iPhone ;~)

      • nathan says:

I can’t use my phone without the jailbreak, it seems so awkward. I love jailbreaking and i was kinda looking forward to seeing future capabilities that come with higher iOS’s. Oh well :/
