Apple Releases 8.1.1 beta 1, Is it Possible to Jailbreak 8.1.1 and is Pangu Patched? - Today, ensuing Pangu’s recent release of the all-new Untethered iOS 8 jailbreak 8.1 utility, it’s with heavy hearts that we deliver some rather disappointing news to those in jailbreak community. Last night, Apple seeded the first beta iteration of iOS 8.1.1 to those enrolled in the official iOS Developer program. The iOS 8.1.1 update, which is available for immediate download via Apple’s Developer Center for iOS, features a slightly revised build number of 12B432. Before we proceed any further, it’s paramount to mention that current jailbreakers should avoid 8.1.1. In what appears to be a minor update that rectifies bugs and increases stability and performance for both the older ipAd 2 and iPhone 4S, iOS 8.1.1, on closer examination is actually much more diabolical and contains a hidden agenda. Unlike iOS 8.1, a combination of the latest vulnerabilities exploited by Pangu in their new utility to achieve an iOS 8 through 8.1 Untethered jailbreak have officially been patched, making it impossible for any device to jailbreak 8.1.1 UnTethered using Pangu for iOS 8. iOS 8.1.1 Beta 1 Released - Can I Jailbreak 8.1.1 UnTethered With Pangu?
iOS 8.1.1’s release notes confirm that the latest beta firmware, as well as the build that will eventually be intended for public release are rather minor updates, intended strictly to rectify a few known issues and slightly improve performance on the older devices mentioned above.
That being said, while only slightly more stable than 8.1, it’s been confirmed by Pangu themselves that Apple has patched, at the very least, the method the team utilized to inject the Pangu8 jailbreak data, being their iAdm1n exploit.
Jailbreakers Must Avoid 8.1.2 At All Costs, As It Patches The Jailbreak For iOS 8!
While 8.1.1 does speed up performance on the iPhone 4S and iPad 2, said boosts are trivial and it’s strongly recommended that all who are currently jailbroken on iOS 8 through 8.1 avoid not only the latest beta firmware, if they have the ability to update to the beta software, but also the firmware’s inevitable successor intended for public release.
Furthermore, for those of you who have yet to jailbreak 8.1, don’t let this opportunity go to waste and seize the moment to jailbreak iOS 8 now, while it’s still possible to do so on the latest public firmware, using our in-depth written, and video, jailbreak guides.
While it will certainly sound redundant, we cannot stress how important it is for those of you either currently jailbroken or interested in jailbreaking to avoid iOS 8.1.1 beta 1, as well as any subsequent beta, and public, releases, as it’s likely that neither Pangu nor the evad3rs will rush to jailbreak iOS 8.1.1 any time in the foreseeable future.
Apple’s iOS 8.1.1 And Jailbreak Update Summary: 8.1.1 Spells Trouble For Jailbreakers
To summarize, with iOS 8.1.1 beta 1 in what will almost certainly be a short testing phase, the Pangu for iOS 8 jailbreak patching firmware is upon us. It’s the ideal time for those interested in jailbreaking to do so while the latest public firmware, being iOS 8.1 as of writing this article, is still jailbreakable by way of Pangu.
That being said, for those of you who own iPhone, iPod touch or iPad’s running iOS 8 through 8.1, you’ll be required to perform a restore prior to the execution of the jailbreak for 8.1 - to do so, and to successfully achieve a jailbroken state, follow the procedure outlined in our guide sooner rather than later.

Remember… The worst decision is INDECISION!!!
Well… I have 2 iPhone 5s’ running on ios8 straight from the first day it was possible to jb. Both are running fantastic! I have even modded a number of icons. Just about EVERY tweak I used on ios7 are once again on them (QUITE a few) I know that it will only get better. It DOES take a bit for devs to update apps/tweaks. Lets be fair… It hasn’t been very long and they’re moving along rather quickly all-told. I feel you (and everyone else) should bite the bullet and update. In a short time you’ll be happy you did. Soon after that, you’ll see all the new never seen things that will be thought up that you will’ve missed out on being able to enjoy!
Updated to get the jail break on both an Ipad 2 and an iPhone 4s. Both crash regularly in the browser and re-spring at least 2 or 3 times a day for no reason. So I throw a question out. Hackers, is it possible to make the same bug fixes from “our” (really your) end? Sure would be great to support you all even longer with some tweaks to keep us old timers running on archaic devices!.
im currently on ios 7.0.3 jailbroken on ipad 2 do you guys think it would be better to update to ios 8.1 and jailbreak or just stay with the one i got? what i mean is will it slow me down or will be buggy if i update? the only reason i havent yet is because more than have the tweaks i use daily are not ready for ios 8.1
